We had such a magical Christmas with the kids.
Some of our highlights:
-doing the 12 days of Christmas for a family
-wearing Christmas sweaters all season long
-Grandma visiting when we had all the performances
-watching the 12 days of the Nativity on Living Scriptures
-going to everyone's holiday performances
-our Christmas piano recital and friend's Xmas party (white elephant, cute treats, and ransom notes, and other games)
-Xmas Eve Dinner
-seeing the Xmas light show at Porter Park
-sibling Secret Santa (first time doing this, will definitely continue the tradition!)
Christmas Day was so fun for our family. Johnny and I waited for the kids to come up (the rule was they couldn't come upstairs before 7 am). They opened stockings first and then we opened presents. We were opening presents until about 10:30! We took our time opening them, looking at them, and appreciating what we received. Everyone was happy with what they received, and Navy's Christmas adrenaline rush was dying off around 10:00 haha. The morning was spent munching on candy from stockings, eating cinnamon rolls, playing with new toys and trying out the new games we received. We also visited Grandma at Carriage Cove. We ended the night playing Mario Party together. It was honestly my favorite Christmas Season so far- all our decorations, the Christmas music and the eventful Christmas season, and wrapping it up with the perfect Christmas Day. It'll be sad for it to all be done, but we're excited to see what next year will have in store.
