Today was so nice and I want to remember how nice it is to slow down. I did have a full day of work, however, when I got home, Willow Navy and I hung out outside (beautiful weather today) and tinkered with the flowers. Willow wanted to cut some flowers so we made a few bouquets and even cut branches off our blossoming trees in the front. We then checked on our other seeds & plants that should hopefully be blooming in the summer (fingers crossed). Our rannunculus look like they are sprouting a little so that's exciting. Our tulips and blossoms are very pretty right now and make me so happy. Slowing down and spending time with our flowers is so good for the soul. They bring happiness, relaxation and help me appreciate our beautiful world more. Plus our hands helped bring this beauty about! How cool is that?!
Later, I dropped Willow off to play with her friend Annie, and Navy and I walked around the block. We were walking past a street that has a lot of construction happening. Navy loves trucks and cars and she saw lots of diggers and machinery and suddenly yelled "STOP! STOP!" She wanted me to stop so she could watch the machinery in action digging up the street, moving dirt, etc. I loved that our life was slow enough, with nothing pressing, that we could make time to just sit and watch everything in action. She loved it. After we watched the construction for awhile she was satisfied and could continue our walk. So cute! We had a softball game later in the day, and even though there was still stuff going on, it was still relaxed. Maybe it was the sunny weather, maybe it's knowing summer is soon, but it was just a good day. I am so thankful for our beautiful life.
