This weekend was spent with Nick in CA! I had to use up my Allegiant flight credit by 3/3 so it worked out perfect to do a Fri-Mon trip to see him. Thanks Johnny for holding down the fort & I know the kids had tons of fun eating junk and playing video games all day!
It was fun hearing about the things Nick gets excited about, his concerns/worries etc, and things that make him happy.
We ate lots of yummy food: fish tacos, in n out, and Japanese. We went hiking & to this amazing place that I must return to called Huntington Library & Gardens.
Huntington was great and so big that we didn’t get to see it all! It was full of different types of gardens, beautiful landscaping, museums, little cafes, and the list goes on. I need to come back and take Johnny and the kids possibly.
Sunday we did church, walked the cute streets of Balboa Island, checking out the area and seeing all the cute beach cottages (my fav activity of all time is staring at all those cute little homes with white picket fences). The kids would've loved Balboa Island and all the cute little shops, things to eat and see!
We also played Plunder and started a cute anime spy x family.
The trip was so nice, however, being away from the kids was hard and I missed them so much! I love my little family and it feels wrong to be away from them. I couldn’t wait to see them Monday! It was good for the soul to realize they are all I want and what truly makes me happy in this world. The world wants you to think that you need the biggest house, the coolest car, all the things to make you happy. However, this was a wonderful reminder that I am so blessed to have the most beautiful family, wonderful children, amazing husband that I get to have forever. We make great memories together and I am so lucky I get to be their mom and am honored I get to raise the 4 of them. Also, Johnny is the best partner in life and I’m glad we share the same views that our simple life is amazing and that the distractions of the world are kept at bay & we focus on what truly matters.
