Willow and I were able to see the Rexburg Children's Choir perform tonight. They were amazing! Adessa, the person, who played Doloris in Encanto, was a guest artist. It was incredible to hear her perform along with the choir-truly magical voices and so much talent.
One thing that stood out to me was when Willow saw all the kids performing up there she said "Mom, I should be up there." I see a lot of me in Willow. Willow is a dreamer. She wants to do everything, but she doesn't sit there and whine about it or get discouraged. She has hope, and action, and patience, and strong desire. She accomplishes what she wants to accomplish in a positive way. I admire her. She finds a way. And because I see so much of myself in her, I feel this connection that makes me want to support her in all she does. I want to do everything I capably can to help her dreams become reality. Now, Rexburg Children's Choir is for those 10 and up, so if that is truly what she wants, she needs to wait a little bit. Guess we'll see if voice lessons will be in her future :)
