Last year we planted two trees at the end of the summer. We spent a lot of time trying to decide what kind of trees to plant, waiting for good deals, etc. We chose the "rose tree of china" because it stays relatively small and is supposed to have blossoms that look similar to the beautiful cherry blossoms in Japan. The trees started off as scrawny sticks basically. I was very nervous they were not going to survive the Rexburg winter and wind, but they made it through the nasty months here and voila! They are now "scrawny sticks" that are blossoming!
