The Many Faces of Kai this Week

Mr. Kai is very lucky he's relatively cute.  Those looks come in handy when he throws dried rice all over the kitchen or Nesquik chocolate milk powder everywhere.  Something about that little smile keeps him alive week after week :)

Kai is 2 1/2 years old now and is so much fun.  He's great at playing by himself and has the best little imagination.  He especially loves playing with his safari animal and dinosaur figurines.  It's fun to listen in on the adventures and conversations he makes his little toys have.  Kai is also known for being "trouble", in fact I STILL can't believe how much trouble he can get into.  If you have to spend more than 1 minute in the bathroom you can kiss the clean house good bye.

Right now he is obsessed with Frozen, Ninja Turtles (the original fun cartoons) and the old Disney movie Oliver and Company.

We are working on communication with him, but sometimes he's so hard to understand!  We were really worried about it before, but he has improved quite a bit even in the last few weeks.  Our big joke at home is that he can quote the whole movie Frozen, but he can't tell us what he wants as a snack.

This week we are starting on potty training, which I have not been looking forward to.  We potty trained Niko at 3 ish and it was relatively easy, so I am hoping it won't be much harder.  One thing that has been working is the use of tiny marshmallows.  Kai will pee on command for a handful of those little marshmallows!  Hoping to get him out of diapers before baby comes!
