Keep the Fire Burnin'

We took on a fun, DIY project! We beautified our old fireplace!

Here's what we started with:

The fireplace was chipping, a yellow-ing white color, and had a brassy gold front

Johnny went to town breaking up all the tile

(covered in mortar)


placing the tile was a little messy, but once I spread the mortar a few times it wasn't too bad!

My favorite part was doing the grout! I was allowed to be messy with that stuff! Overall, I'm so happy with the fireplace :)
