Baby Kai in the NICU

Updates on Little Kai:

HE'S ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

....and still in the NICU :(

Guess he really did come a little too early. When he first came out he needed to be on oxygen, and get nutrients through an IV, and food through a tube in his nose. Talk about a rough life! Right now he's doing great, and only needs a tube in his nose to eat some of his food. He nipples about 44% of his food (drinks mom's milk out of a bottle) and gets tube fed the rest. He's making good progress, but slow progress. He's been there for 7 days so I'm really hoping he gets out soon!

A little about him:

1. He's got my nose :)
2. He has great coloring
3. He sleeps with his mouth open and has tiny lips (unlike Niko's big beautiful lips)
4. He has thin light brown hair & blue eyes for now.
5. He's absolutely perfect.

Poor Niko hasn't been able to see him yet because he's not allowed in the NICU, I think he's doubting that he has a baby brother :)

Kailand may not be getting home as soon as I want him to, but this whole situation has made me love and appreciate him so so much, increased my patience, and definitely increased my dependence on faith & prayer!
